(Part 2, Filming a Music Video for 1st Single "Letting Go" in Budapest, Hungary)

HI!

As promised, I've got more info about the sites we filmed at : )

I always like to know the history behind the places I visit, so this is what I found out reading up Budapest Tourist Guide, and Wikipedia.com. ;)

The first location we filmed at was the GELLERT HILL-- a steep hill that stands 140 m (460 ft) above the Dunabe river, and provides a beautiful view of Budapest (the southern part of Buda, and the whole of Pest).

Walking further down the hill, we stopped by the STATUE of ST. GELLERT, the martyred Bishop, and a patron saint of Budapest, who was thrown down this hill in a sealed barrel because of his attempt to convert people to Christianity.

Then, we filmed against the background of the CHAIN BRIDGE and a part of BUDAPEST, blazing with the city's light in the evening hours. The Chain Bridge was a major engineering accomplishment at the time it was built, between 1839--49. The bridge extends for 380 meters (1,250 ft).

Another site was the ELIZABETH BRIDGE. At the time of its construction, between 1897-1903, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world! It is named after Queen Elizabeth, an Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary, Croatia, and Bohemia between 1854--1898. Particularly popular with the Hungarian people, the queen's free spirit and disregard for conventional court protocol inspired filmmakers and theatrical producers alike.

The RADAY MANSION, with its surrounding garden, is a surreal place. I was told the place is haunted! : D The mansion is located in a town called Pecel, a couple of miles from Budapest. It was built in the late 18th century by a Raday family that was forced to sell the palace and the library to cover their debt in the late 19th century. Since then, the building has been mostly abandoned. Only between 1953--1956 was it used as a hospital, with the library section turned into a patient examination room. Unfortunately, most of the paintings were destroyed, and most of the fireplaces were transformed into doorways. Currently, the building is undergoing an intensive restoration process.

That pretty much covers most of the places The Pixel Film team and I filmed at.
Hope you found it interesting. Ill upload some pics in the next few days to compliment each location.
